On a lovely Thursday morning and afternoon, Dr. Sabine Brunswicker delivered a plenary speech on the potential for Open Digital Innovation within the agricultural sector for agricultural & biological engineers at the ABE Graduate Symposium.
This week, the Research Center for Open Digital Innovation is enjoying the visit of Takeshi Ishikawa. Takeshi is a second year Master’s student in the Graduate School of Business & Commerce, Keio University, Japan.

With many engaged and motivated developers from Purdue University, the Blue IronHacks awards ceremony came to a great conclusion! With a problem that challenged the students to create a mashup that could help West Lafayette citizens in choosing optimal housing based on a number of criteria, the competition was tough but we witnessed a lot of great solutions.
A group of motivated hackers finished their second out of three submissions last night at Midnight for the Blue IronHacks and are now up for judging by our expert panel. “The submissions so far have taken into account various problem aspects and settings, and it is truly impressive what the hackers are doing with Open Data”, said Cheryl Hsiang, one of our researchers and judges.

Well-known and renowned business strategist, speaker, and author, Paul Nunes, will give a talk for the Discovery Lecture Series “Big Bang Disruption: Strategy in the Age of Devastating Innovation”. Nunes is the Global Managing Director of the Accenture Institute for High Performance, a global “think-and-act-tank” which aims to define and measure high-performance businesses.
