On July 12, 2017 our director Sabine Brunswicker presented 2 papers at the International Conference on Computational Social Science in Cologne. One paper on the role of network embeddedness in OSS project collaboration results from her joint research with Red Hat fellow Satyam Mukherjee.
Dr. Brunswicker’s former student, Mehdi Bagherzadeh is being recognized for his PhD thesis: “I am pleased and honoured that my PhD thesis has been distinguished in the Top 10 theses for the 2017 EDAMBA Thesis Competition.

Marlen Promann, a Ph.D. candidate at RCODI and our director Dr. Brunswicker will be presenting their latest work on the eco-feedback design in the home energy monitoring context at the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS) in Boston, MA this August.
This year’s International Conference on Computational Social Science (IC2S2 2017) received a total of 298 submissions. Professor Sabine Brunswicker and research fellow Satyam Mukherjee’s paper on: “Problem-centric Network Embeddedness and Productivity in Open Source Software Communities” has been accepted for oral presentation at IC2S2 2017 being held between July 11 and July 13.
Our director at the Research Center for Open Digital Innovation has recently been nominated for the position of Track Chair for the Academy of Management Specialized Conference on Big Data, to be held at the University of Surrey, UK, on 18-20 April 2018.
